Abstract

This article casts reasonable doubts upon Juan Domínguez's authorship of the project for the Hospital de los Venerables, while likewise discounting the attributing of this same building's main patio, as well as the Hospital de la Caridad, to Leonardo de Figueroa. Rather, the hypothesis is put toward of the key role played by Esteban García in both the hospitals under consideration, he being Mastermason of the Cathedral and the Archbishopric at the time.
