NUEVOS TESTIMONIOS BIOGRÁFICOS Y ARTÍSTICOS SOBRE EL ESCULTOR JUAN DE ASTORGA

Abstract

In this piece of work we offer a great deal of unknown documentation that solves some questions about the biography of the sculptor Juan de Astorga, such as his birth in Archidona (Málaga) in 1777 or his marriage in 1801. In the same way, by the light of new documentary information, part of his known output is studied and the catalogue of his retable and sculptoric works increases.
