The so-called “Eagles-Crown”, which had belonged to Queen Beatriz de Suabia (1220-1235), was subsequently worn by the statue of Our Lady of Kings as from the 13th century. When that crown was stolen in the 19th century, a new one was made by José Lecaroz in 1873, after which another, more luxurious one was made by Manuel González de Rojas in 1876, so that it might be used for the statue’s annual solemn procession. The present paper studies both crowns, and offers new data on the Royal Chapel’s missing jewelry.
