A knowledge of the activities of sculptors in wood and stone is essential for the study of Spanish Renaissance architecture. The custom of moving from city to city in search of work allowed for the exchange of techniques and models, and the dissemination of schemes and solutions to problems of composition. As a further contribution to the study of these craftsmen, we consider those who are featured in the documents referring to the construction of Seville Town Hall.
