In this study of the eighteenth century images used inthe Holy Week celebrations in Ecija, five sculpturas dating from the period are catalogued. Two of these represent Jesus carrying the cross on his shoulder and the other three the Mater Dolorosa. Two of these virgins follow the iconographic modelo of the Sevillian Baroque school and the third originates from Naples.
