Ethics

IROCAMM - International Review Of Communication And Marketing Mix, in line with the recommendations of major international bodies, such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (Cope), considers it necessary and important to promote ethical publishing and observes the following ethical principles throughout the publishing process

  • The freedom of expression of authors, attention to diversity and minorities
  • The freedom of decision of the evaluators and the publisher. Editorial decisions shall always be communicated to authors in a reasoned manner. Public information on the complaints procedure in the event of disagreement can be found in the section of the site entitled "About the Journal/Peer Review Process".
  • The gender balance in the composition of the various boards of the journal
  • The commitment to ensure accessibility to users with text-only browsers or assistive devices, activating the tools offered by the open journal system.
  • The responsibility of the editor to preserve the anonymity of authors and reviewers during the review process.
  • The commitment to confidentiality of data and texts by reviewers and editors. The author's commitment to internationally accepted guidelines when research involves people or animals.
  • The recognition of conflicts of interest, if they exist. In these cases, COPE flowcharts should be followed.
  • Citation handling practices are discouraged.
  • The auditable recording of all interactions.
  • In cases of dispute over authorship, the revision process or publication of the text will be suspended until it is resolved.
  • The assignment of rights is made under the Creative Commons – No comercial - Attribution Share Alike 4.0 license (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
  • The moral and ethical responsibility of the authors is implied:
    1. Consistency and reliability in the research: it must be responsible and legal, carefully worked, use correct methods of analysis, guarantee the results and present it properly.
    2. Honesty: no lies or falsifications or manipulation of data.
    3. Original: not published in another country or language, not presented simultaneously to more than one publication without the editors having agreed to co-publication by pointing it out in the text, subject to intellectual property laws citing identifiable primary sources. The anti-plagiarism procedure followed by the journal can be consulted at this link.
    4. Transparency: Transparent with research funding sources, including direct and indirect financial support, provision of equipment or materials, or other support.
    5. Accountability: Authors should conform to established publishing standards. They should collaborate by making quick and agile corrections. They should respond to acceptance or rejection and to the reviewers' suggestions.

  • Indications about co-authorship. The degree of participation in the study will depend on the simultaneous presence of these conditions: intervention in all phases (structure, writing and review), coordination with the other authors, contribution to obtaining funds, data collection and analysis. The order of signature will be decided by consensus and in advance. The author is the one who assumes public responsibility for the content of the article. Researchers with minor contributions would only appear in the acknowledgements.
  • The quality of the texts is based on the anonymous peer review process and the option of correspondence with the editor or comments to the articles where other professionals not directly linked to the review process can express their opinions contributing to the recognition of the scientific contributions of what has been published.
