    Social production of habitat and regulation of land and housing in times of housing crisis in the global North and South

    The journal Habitat and Society is calling for articles for issue 19: "Social production of habitat and regulation of land and housing in times of housing crisis in the global North and South." This coincides with the proposed theme for the IV International Colloquium on Urban Conflicts, which will take place at the Institute of Geography and Territorial Planning (IGOT) of the University of Lisbon, on July 9, 10, and 11, 2025.


    Articles can be submitted to any of its three sections: Special Articles, Miscellany, and L.E.D. (Submissions). We recommend reading the journal's focus and scope section.


    The journal has renewed its FECYT 2024 quality seal and is indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index, DIALNET, and evaluated in LATINDEX. Catalog v2.0 (2018 -) ERIHPlus and REDIB. Ibero-American Network of Innovation and Scientific Knowledge


    Habitat and Society is an open journal that does not charge fees to readers or authors. It is supported by the altruistic work of the editorial and scientific team, through grants from the University of Seville's Research Plan and funding from the Department of Architectural Graphic Expression at the University of Seville.
    Articles are accepted for publication in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French.


    Full manuscripts must be submitted through the OJS platform, following the journal's "Guidelines for Authors" and code of conduct. Ten research papers will be selected for publication after peer review and addressing any requested corrections.


    Deadline for manuscript submission: December 30, 2025

  • Siglo XXI. Migraciones forzadas y derecho al hábitat

    The journal Habitat and Society is calling for articles for issue 18 "21st Century: Forced Migrations and the Right to Habitat", coinciding with the theme proposed for the Arcadia 6 congress to be held at the ETSA in Seville on 3-4 October 2024.


    Articles can be submitted to any of its three sections: Monographic articles, Miscellaneous and L.E.D. (Readings, Events and Debates). We recommend reading the focus and scope section of the journal.

  • Ampliación del plazo de recepción de artículos para el número 17 hasta el 30 de abril

    La revista Hábitat y Sociedad convoca artículos para el número 17 " Transición energética y conflictos territoriales: hacia un modelo de gestión participativa", a publicarse en noviembre de 2024, en sus tres secciones: Artículos monográficos, Miscelánea y L.E.D. (Lecturas, Eventos y Debates). Recomendamos la lectura de la sección enfoque y alcance de la revista.

    La revista tiene el sello de calidad FECYT 2023 y está indexada en Emerging Sources Citation IndexDIALNET y evaluada en LATINDEX. Catálogo v2.0 (2018 - ) ERIHPlus y REDIB. Red Iberoamericana de Innovación y conocimiento científico

    Hábitat y Sociedad es una revista abierta que no cobra ni a lectores ni a autores. Se sostiene con el trabajo altruista del equipo editorial y científico, mediante subvenciones del Plan Propio de Investigación de la Universidad de Sevilla y financiación del Departamento de Expresión Gráfica Arquitectónica de la Universidad de Sevilla.

    Se admiten artículos para su publicación en español, inglés, portugués y francés.


    Fecha límite para envío de manuscritos: 30 de abril de 2024

    Los manuscritos completos deben ser enviados a través de la plataforma O.J.S., siguiendo las directrices para autores y el código ético de conducta de la revista. Se seleccionarán diez trabajos de investigación para publicar después de la revisión por pares y abordar las correcciones solicitadas.

    The journal Habitat and Society is extending the deadline for the submission of abstracts for issue 16 "Collaborative Habitat-Community-led Housing", to be published in November 2023, in its three sections: Monographic articles, Miscellaneous and L.E.D. (Readings, Events and Discussions).

    Deadline for abstracts: 30 September 2022 (maximum 300 words).
    Deadline for submission of manuscripts (of accepted abstracts): 31 January 2023.
