Abstract

Audiovisual advertising brings together the latest creative and social trends flowing in the media. Thus, contemporary spots are a great example of the current dissolution of boundaries between audiovisual formats. Although music is a constant presence in spots thanks to its emotional effectiveness, today we are witnessing its appropriation of the various uses of music in contemporary audiovisual. This paper examines the advertising typologies where music is located at the narrative center, appropriating other visual phenomena articulated around music.
