Abstract

In this paper I aim to show the sense in which we can talk about the practical fertility of pessimism. Having this purpose in mind, I will focus on Schopenhauer ́s Philosophy. Mainly, I will intend to exhibit how eudaimonic pessimism could be consistently reconstructed. I would also like to suggest the contribution the latter is able to make to the current philosophical debate.
