Scotus: from speculation to scepticism

Abstract

Supposing that there exist ideas that are clear and distinct, and ideas that are confusing, - that is, referring the evidence to the idea rather than to judgment, the way modern philosophy does, following Scotus – inadvertently leads to posing the critical problem, and eventually, to skepticism.
