Abstract

The objective of this essay is to understand, in the Phenomenology of the spirit, how the first dialectical movement that occurs in consciousness as soon it is recognized as self-consciousness. Hegel’s analysis in the first three chapters: sensible certainty, perception and strength and understanding, will be addressed here, but only as antecedents of Self-consciousness, hence the analysis that is devoted to them is not so exhaustive in its conceptual approach as the concept of self-consciousness, the core of this section.
