Abstract

This paper is about Gilles Deleuze's notion of assemblage within the framework of theatricality. For this, the distinction between device and agency is analyzed. The understanding and modulation of these notions allows to postulate the concepts of visibility device and theatrical agency, which acquire a methodological function in the context of thinking about theater and its form of composition. In accordance with this, the analysis states that the various modes of production of theatricality are understood as poetics that function as abstract machines. This is a diagram that allows a distribution of the scenic composition. This determines a device of visibility in the theater, which is carried out through theatrical assemblages that give singularity to the sensitive distribution of scenic elements
