CONVENIO DE SEGURIDAD SOCIAL ENTRE ESPAÑA Y REPUBLICA DOMINICANA

El autor analiza el Convenio bilateral en materia de Seguridad Social entre España y la República Dominicana.
Se subrayan las razones que motivaron la negociación y la ratificación, incidiéndose en los reparos manifestados por la colonia española en la República Dominicana.
Se examina la legislación dominicana y se pasa revista al texto del Convenio, haciéndose hincapié en las disposiciones sobre trabajadores desplazados y sobre pensiones, así como en la dificultad de coordinar regímenes de reparto con regímenes de capitalización individual.
Por último, se efectúan ciertas reflexiones sobre las peculiaridades del Convenio y su posible futuro.
