El Condado litoral onubense: a la búsqueda de un modelo de desarrollo interno

El territorio objeto de este artículo coincide plenamente con el que abarca la comarca denominada por el Ministerio de Agricultura Condado-Litoral, que consta de 150. 727 has. y está formada por los términos municipales de Almonte, Hinojos, Lucena del Puerto, Moguer y Palos de la Frontera (Ministerio de Agricultura, 1977).
Desde el punto de vista de sus aprovechamientos, la característica más acusada de éste área es su resistencia a ser conquistada, territorializada y organizada para la producción agrícola por el hombre hasta una fecha muy cercana a la actual.
El futuro de la comarca pasa, a nuestra manera de ver, por un replanteamiento en profundiad y globalizado del territorio y una voluntad política de conseguir su articulación, como objetivo prioritario de cualquier proyecto sobre él.
