Resumen

Recently, the concept of the 15-minute city has gained relevance in urban planning models. This research takes advantage of the potential of Big Data sources to observe the spatial distribution of possible places of residence and infrastructure on a regional scale in Andalusia. For that, places of residence are estimated from Twitter data and taking them as points of origin, isochrones that collect the number of facilities obtained from OpenStreetMap and accessible within a 15-minute walk are calculated. Next, two regression models are developed to map areas of Andalusia that meet the criteria applied to the 15-minute city. The results of these models are compared taking into account the different categories of services. The results show that the peripheral neighborhoods, the dormitory cities of the main urban agglomerations, and the medium-sized cities in the interior of the Guadalquivir Valley present the best results, while the historic centers of the large cities and the Atlantic coast show greater accessibility problems.
