Abstract

During the second half of the 20th century, the city of Granada has developed one of the most interesting artistic projects of those related to Contemporary Spanish Art. This piece of work deals with the unusual labour done in this Andalusian city, from the first Institutions -Fundación Rodríguez-Acosta and Banco de Granada- to the magnificent approaches carried out by the Diputación Provincial, with the Arts Center José Guerrero and the brilliant galleries of the Palacio de los Condes de Gabia, as well as the challenging exhibitions on the Galería Sandunga, where more advanced expressions of art find their place.
