DOCUMENTOS PARA LA HISTORIA DEL RETABLO EN LA PROVINCIA DE SEVILLA

Abstract

In this article we show severa] documents about eight altarpieces that decorated the churches of the villages at the west zone of the province of Seville during the centuries XVII, XVIII and XIX. Only sorne of these altarpieces exist today, but now we can know better the production of the artists who made them and the importance of the sevillian artistic market in those years.
