Abstract

Toe analysis of the testaments and inventories consulted in archives offers us a valuable information about collections of art in a concrete place and period; that information help us to understand better the artistic taste and the development of the collecting. A example of this is Tomás Mácores: he is a interesting collector who acquired more than 12.000 paintings, engravings and sculptures in the Seville of the XVIII century ( 1781 ).
