Abstract

The brick pillars of the medieval parish church of Cala were substituted, in Early Modem times, by marble columns and pillars, of classical leanings. The nature of this intervention is explored in this article, which locales it into the Renaissance architectonical tradition having Hemán Ruiz II as a central figure.
