Abstract

Antonio Castillo Lastrucci (1878-1967) can be considered the introducer of the neo-baroque language in the imagery of Seville of the Twentieth century. Despite its magnifi cent secular-themed sculptural production, which reaches the fi rst half of his life, following the aesthetic set by his teacher Antonio Susillo, his popularity is due to its side as sculptor of imagery. In this study we identifi ed a number religious-themed works, made in different materials and techniques, which confirm the above. All of them are exposed chronologically.
