A WORK OF THE ITALIAN PAINTER GIOVANNI BATTISTA PACE AT THE COLLEGIATE CHURCH OF OLIVARES

Abstract

In this article we trate about the first identified work in Spain by Giovanni Battista Pace, a Seventeenth Century Italian painter. It´s the painting of the Virgin called La Carbonera, which was given by the marchioness of El Carpio to the Olivares Collegiate Church, where it´s still venerated.
