The cathedral of Seville, its Gothic building, was begun c. 1433 and was mainly finished in 1506, when its cimborrio was ended. The fall of this great structure at the end of 1511 caused the building to be prolonged for more than 25 years. This paper intends to determine the extent of the initial project and the nature of its modifications until 1506, in a context of coexistence and conciliation of continuity and change.
