A sculpture of Our Lady of sorrow in Guatemala from the sculptor Martín Abarca, painted by his brother Leandro Abarca is studied in this paper. Also we analyse other examples of sacred sculptures in Guatemala during the XVII and XVIII centuries, making a formal study and using historical and literary sources.
