Abstract

Elvira Dones is an Albanian writer and screenwriter. Born into a privileged family in the heyday of communist Albania, Elvira traveled through different countries to settle in an Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Among her works, Vergine giurata stands out, in which she describes the difficulties of the female condition in her native country.
