El presente trabajo constituye un breve comentario al capítulo quinto (Atacar la libertad: Schopenhauer) de la obra del profesor Juan Arana Los filósofos y la libertad (2005). Mediante referencias a los trabajos del pensador alemán, son analizadas algunas tesis relativas al referido capítulo quinto, a saber: el sentido negativo de la libertad; la jurisdicción del principio de causalidad; la libertad como propiedad de lo oculto, y el problema de la confluencia libertad-necesidad.
The present study constitutes a brief commentary about fifth chapter (Atacar la libertad: Schopenhauer) of the work Juan Arana teacher Los filósofos y la libertad (2005). By means of references to the works German thinker, some theses concerning that fifth chapter are analyzed, that is: the negative sense of the liberty; the jurisdiction of the causality’s principle; the liberty as the quality of the occult; finally the question on confluence liberty-necessity.
