The objective of this research is to develop a contemporary conceptualization of the figure of the flâneur, analyzing its evolution from the reflections of Rousseau (1712-1778) to Cuvardic (1969-). It will be noted how the notion of the flâneur incorporates unavoidable components of each era. However, there is a common element related to wandering through different spaces, with the city standing out as an epistemic object to reflect on, investigate and contemplate, thereby fostering literary creativity. This work offers a renewed perspective on this archetype, emphasizing its significance for understanding urban experience and contemporary subjectivity.
