We present the translation of a G. W. Leibniz’s little-known text which dates back to 1680. It is a highly curious text in which Leibniz turns into a Hannover dog’s court liaison to object to Denis Papin Digester. That is a pressure cooker with safety valve, used to grind bones to prepare human food. It is therefore a contentious text, not without humour or irony, in which Leibniz intends to warn us of the consequences any kind of innovation would involve.
