Abstract

This work considers Heidegger’s concept of existentialism to establish how freedom is sought through an ambivalent process of individuality-collectivity. To begin with, it will explain what the idea of “being in the world” consists of as a transit to obtain a particular and social awareness, despite the fact that being in that condition is not entirely pleasant. However, that introspection would be the one that would serve to undertake the journey towards the epiphany of freedom in broader contexts, which are oriented to the progress of humanity.
