En este trabajo se realiza una caracterización de la filosofía como una actividad cultural que no se puede separar del espacio urbano. Se explica el desinterés de los filósofos por la ciudad apelando a su negativa a reconocer el fenómeno urbano como un elemento esencial de la naturaleza humana. La tesis central es que, fuera de la ciudad, no hay lugar para la filosofía.
This paper is carried out a characterization of philosophy as a cultural activity which cannot be separated from the urban space. The lack of interest of the philosophers by the city is explained appealing to its refusal to recognize the urban phenomenon as an essential element of human nature. The central thesis is that, outside of town, no place for philosophy.
