The réflection seconde through duplex cognitio. Thomist basis of Gabriel Marcel’s thought

Abstract

The distinction between mystery and problem Gabriel Marcel’s thought involves a double way of acceding into those regions of Being: primary and secondary reflections. This double path to Being shares essential characters with Thomas Aquinas’ theory of duplex cognitio de anima. The aim of this paper is to show these coincidences from the reading of Jaume Bofill’s Para una metafísica del sentimiento.
