The article proposes to investigate in a subjective way capable of producing a new sequence of the concept of the political from the theory of the Alain Badiou event. His central thesis is that the post-Cartesian revolution in the subject's doctrine has direct implications on the concept of the political, so the event becomes a key concept of political theory. To do this: 1. the Badiou and Heidegger ontologies are confronted to verify the Badiousian response to the Heideggerian ontological turn. 2. The Badiousian ontology is reconstructed with the concept of the event as its axis. 3. The metaphysics of the Badiousian subject is analyzed as a response to the modern theories of the subject and the truth. 4. The consequences of Badiou's philosophy for orthodox Marxism and hermeneutic communism are debated.
