RESUMEN Las ocultaciones de la realidad nos permite de alguna manera pensar en los valores de la ciudad capaces de convertirse en sus identidades y motores de su habitabilidad. La ciudad no debe pensarse en claves que conduzcan a su consumo irracional hata el extremo que se deterioren y conviertan en algo que no eran. La habitabilidad debe ser medida por la identidad de los habitantes con su ciudad y debemos reconocer el calor de los invisibles "paseantes" que son capaces de identificar los valores urbanos de nuestras sociedades frente a la gestión privada que las administraciones hacen de lo público. La ciudad la hacemos todos habitandola pero no devorandola, destruyendola. Tomar conciencia de estas cuestiones abre una puerta de esperanza hacia el futuro porque marca nuevos rumbos.

SUMMARY Somehow, the occultations of reality allow us to think about the values of the city capable of becoming their identities and their habitability engines. The city should not be considered with keys that lead to irrational consumption to the extent that deteriorate and become something that they were not. Habitability must be measured by the identity of the inhabitants with their city and we must recognize the value of the invisible “walkers” who are able to identify the urban capacity of our societies against the“private management” that the public administration normally does, for example with the tourism. All of us together make up the city, inhabiting it but not devouring to destroying it. Be aware of these issues opens a door of hope towards the future because it marks new directions.
