Abstract

It is known by all those interested in the subject, the discussion that has generated for a long time the ambiguity of certain actions of Francisco de Goya and Lucientes. Many historians have considered the possibility that Goya had supported the French, although the majority does not admit discussions about his patriotism. The Chapman brother’s work Insult to Injury and another art creations based on Disasters of war, have a background that is far from the controversy that these artists generate. In this article, some hypothesis that intertwined the intentionality of Goya and Chapman brothers will be exposed.
