Artificial Intelligence and the opportunity to create an electronic personality

In the current context of unstoppable advance of science, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) has experienced an exponential evolution. Through this study, we analize the legal issues raised by the eventual creation of an electronic personality in the case of the most advanced autonomous robots (fourth generation robotics). Indeed, the special characteristics of these systems - and the difficulty for framing them in any of the already existing legal categories - demand a specific treatment by the Law that allows us to face the challenges of this kind of technology in the future. Likewise, we address the different doctrinal positions around this eventuality to conclude by contributing our own position in this regard.
