CUESTIONES BIOMÉDICAS DESDE EL PENSAMIENTO BUDDHISTA: EL CASO DE LA INTERRUPCIÓN VOLUNTARIA DEL EMBARAZO CON ESPECIAL REFERENCIA A JAPÓN
Abstract
En el panorama filosófico-normativo, la apertura a tradiciones no occidentales no sólo se desenvuelve a nivel sistémico, sino que comienza a desarrollarse igualmente con respecto a problemas de razón práctica. Este trabajo trata una cuestión tan controvertida como la interrupción voluntaria del embarazo desde el pensamiento buddhista. Se presenta un marco conceptual canónico; se describen los principales desarrollos filosóficos contemporáneos y se muestran diversos ejemplos jurídico-sociales incidiendo especialmente en el caso japonés. De la panorámica expuesta se resalta la apuesta por la consideración: del aborto como una transgresión normativa que casuísticamente puede tolerarse como mal necesario; del no nacido como objeto de protección (también espiritual) y de la madre como agente merecedor de asesoramiento, atención y cuidado especiales.
