Peer review process

Evaluation of originals

All sections are evaluated, that is, the editorial committee initially decides if the article is appropriate for the journal. In the case of research articles (Studies), if not rejected, the editorial committee chooses expert reviewers on the subject matter of the article. And, then, the article follows a more exhaustive evaluation process that is developed as follows:

Peer evaluation

The review of each article will be carried out by two expert reviewers who will advise on its publication.

Blind evaluation

To ensure transparency, the reviewers do not know each other nor do they know the identity of the evaluated author.

The Editorial Board may reject an article, without the need to proceed to its evaluation, when it considers that it does not conform to the rules, both formal and content, or does not fit the thematic profile of the publication.

After this prior analysis, all the articles will be subjected to an external review process according to the "peer" and "double-blind" system in which at least two reviewers external to the journal will participate, resorting to a third party in case of that was necessary. The evaluators will be renowned researchers specializing in the field. The anonymity of both the author and the reviewers will be maintained; however, the lists of external evaluators who have collaborated with the journal in previous years will be published periodically, with prior personal authorization.

The authors will be informed of the definitive acceptance or rejection of the article.

The OJS system saves the editorial path of each published article, the dates of receipt and approval of the same.

The Editorial Board will be the one to make the decision, taking into account external reports, on the publication or rejection of each article.
