Focus and scope

Fedro, Revista de Estética y Teoría de las Artes (E-ISSN: 1697-8072), is a scientific journal published by the Editorial of the University of Seville and linked to the Department of Aesthetics and History of Philosophy of the University of Seville, which publishes original articles dedicated to the investigation of contemporary aesthetics and current art from a philosophical perspective. It is preferably aimed at the scientific and university community, both national and international, as well as at all professionals in this general field of study.

The publication was born in 2004, sometimes with two annual issues. Since 2016, the periodicity policy has been changed, publishing annually, with release in the month of September.

FEDRO has a clear international vocation (it publishes articles in Spanish and English as well as in other languages ​​from time to time). Its manuscript evaluation system is rigorous, and the journal welcomes a stable body of evaluators in addition to using ad hoc evaluators when the thematic nature of the text so requires. The maximum time dedicated to the evaluation of the article will be a maximum of 90 days.

Since its 21st issue, this journal has carried out a professional management of manuscripts through the OJS Platform.
