This collection spans three volumes and four tomes, compiling the entire epistolary production and correspondence of the Madrazo family preserved in their archive. This comprehensive anthology, collected and analyzed by Pedro J. Martínez Plaza for the Prado Museum and the Fundación Masaveu, has become, since its publication, an indispensable resource for studying the most prominent artists, the society, and the aesthetic principles of 19th-century Spain.
