Abstract

Analyze the evolution of the social protection system in Morocco, its institutionalization and current configuration, after the modification in its regulatory framework by Framework Law Nº. 9.21 relating to social protection. Focusing our examination on the articulation of the protection that is carried out through the contributory model and social assistance and, in particular, how this reform affects health care and family protection, assessing its current configuration, the proposed modifications, the achievements as well as the unresolved dysfunctions up to now but that must inexcusably be tackled in order to achieve the Welfare State that it aspires to implement in the short term.
