EL DEPOSITARIO EN EL CONVENIO MULTILATERAL IBEROAMERICANO DE SEGURIDAD SOCIAL

El depositario de un convenio o tratado internacional, constituye la persona responsable de garantizar la ejecución de las medidas adoptadas en el tratado o convenio, el cual actúa de forma imparcial y sus funciones están dentro del ámbito internacional. El depositario ejerce en nombre del Secretario General, es por ello que el Convenio Multilateral Iberoamericano de Seguridad Social, firmada en Santiago Chile, en que el artículo 35, dispone que el original del convenio, se depositará en poder de la Secretaría General Iberoamericana a través de la OISS. Los Estados que participan en un convenio multilateral designa al depositario, como partes negociadoras del convenio. Los acuerdos multilaterales que está previsto depositar ante el Secretario General, es a los fines de su estudio y revisión antes de su formalización.
