Abstract

Manuel Egido' s artistic path rests on importan! theoretical basis that have been building up from the beginnings of this Sevillian painter up to the present . During the five decades in which his painting has developed this author has lived the different historical contexts and trends art has gone through taking personal si des in coherence with his thoughts. He has also developed singular work of high quality where we can find the reflection of his theory about plastic. Different reasons forced his retirement from the official mechanisms of art diffusion in the mid 80' s, a fact which <loes not mean that his work would not go on its way in the privacy of his studio up to now.
