LOS RETABLOS DE JUAN DE ASTORGA

Juan de Astorga was the most notorious sculptor in Seville in the first half of the XIXth century. The main part of his work was religious statuary, but he made profane carvings too and also architecture designs. This article studies the altarpieces that he built, giving news documents and enlarging his catalogue.
