PRECISIONES DOCUMENTALES SOBRE LA REJA DE LA CAPILLA MAYOR DE LA CATEDRAL DE CORIA. LAS INTERVENCIONES DE HILARIO FRANCÉS, URSÓN Y BARTOLOMÉ DE JAÉN

Abstract

Toe whole documentation is picked up, largely unpublished, on the grill of the presbytery of the cathedral of Coria and is defined the work of the fundamental masters, Ursón and Bartolomé de Jaén. Also the initial appearance of Hilaría Francés ( 1528) is analized, in connection with the later interventions. The gilding and policromía of the work are studied, including the names of ali the authors that intervened, directed by Bartolomé. He doesn't forget the relative thing to the appraisal, made by Limosín, Lorenzo de Ávila and Juan García to whose names those of the painters Pinedo and Francisco de la Hermosa one are added. lt is included the degradation process and repair of the grill during the XVII and XVIII centuries.
