The film "Un chien andalou", a decisively prominent and eternal landmark in the careers of both Luis Buñuel and Salvdor Dalí, is not only the first expression of surrealism -the genre thata so very much characterizes XXth-century art, but, in the case of Dalí, it is also one of the most importan! iconographic sources if we wish to know his production during the 1930s, undoubtedly considered as the most importan!. Toe primary aim of the present essay is to analyse and study the possible comparisons between thsi film and dalinian aesthetics.
