Abstract

With the study of the paintings inventory from the Palace ducal of Medina Sidonia in Sanlúcar de Barrameda in the years 1588-1764, this article tries to show an example of the Spanish nobiliary collections, and its document too paintings of Diego Pérez Mexia, a painter bad known from the last quarter of 16th century, of Mateo Martínez, Juan de Herrera, Pedro de Camprobín, Diego Valentín Díaz , Felipe Gil de Mena and other ofFederico Fiori Barocino, Giovanni Battista Gaulli, Luca Giordano or Miguel Jacinto Melendez.
