Abstract

An analisis and description of a collection of unknown pieces that the sevillian silversmith José Guzmán el Mozo, active between 1781-1811, made to the monastery of Santa Teresa in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz), where they are at present time. The most importan! pieces are: an altar cross, two lectem, six little hand lamps, a chalice, a service of cruets with sal ver and a little bell, an another one without it, six candlestick and a ciborium. This collection pieces are dated ending eighteenth century and early nineteenth century. They are closed to an sty le of transition between Rococo and Neoclassicism. Also, it is made and detall study of hall marks and bring documentary information about the manufacture of them.
