Abstract

This study analyzes the 1880 report by architects Manuel Portillo and Juan Talavera on the restoration works needed in the Cathedral of Seville (Spain). The document shows some interesting differences with the diagnosis subsequently done by Adolfo Fernández Casanova, director of the important restoration woks carried out in the building from 1882 to 1889.
