Abstract

José Mayorga is a little known carver who lived and worked in Seville at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th. In this paper, we study the altarpieces he built and, moreover, we identify an image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary made by the sculptor Juan de Astorga.
