Built in the 16th century, the convent-school was extended and altered in the following century. With the ecclesiastical confiscations, it was turned into a rifle factory first and, later on, the Military Government Headquarters. The old ramshackle construction was demolished in 1927, after building the current “Avenida de la Constitución”. Taking into account various sources, this article tries to make clear the exact location of the main rooms of this building and, with some unpublished archival documents as a starting point, analyze its incorporation into the urban fabric
