Abstract

The chapel of the Saint Peter ad Vincula brotherhood at Saint Peter’s Parish Church, Seville, is presided over by the painting “The Liberation of Saint Peter”, by Juan de Roelas. A copy of the aforementioned painting was made by Francisco Miguel Jiménez in 1769 to be placed at the main altar of that church on the feast of Saint Peter in Chaims.
